Sneak Peek: 2015 Nissan Maxima Sport Sedan Concept Debuts at Detroit Auto Show (Photo Gallery)

Every January, the top auto manufacturers gather in Detroit for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), where they typically show off all-new models, upcoming concepts and the latest technology in the industry. Nissan managed to steal the show this year when it revealed its Sport Sedan Concept for the 2015 Maxima.

And that opinion isn’t coming from us, either. Autoweek Magazine handed the all-new Nissan Maxima the “Best Concept” award for the 2014 NAIAS, besting the likes of the Toyota FT-1 and Kia G4 Stinger. Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s senior vice president and chief creative officer, said the next-generation Maxima is building “on Nissan’s legendary approach of applying sports car principles to a sedan.”

The futuristic sports car includes a “floating” roof, “V-Motion” grille and diamond-shaped seats, all of which you can view below. It will also come equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates more than 300 horsepower, while delivering up to an estimated 29 mpg on the highway.
